Before you begin

It should only take a couple of minutes to complete the form. Before you get started, make sure you have the following to hand:

  • Your water account number, which can be found on your bill
  • Property details
  • Whether you share your water supply with a neighbour

Note to tenants: you must have your landlords permission, and be the named bill payer.

After you apply

Once you’ve applied, we’ll contact you to arrange a survey of your property. This is so we can check if we can fit a meter.

We aim to install meters within three months of receiving your application, but it’s usually much sooner. If you rent your home, please contact your landlord to let them know you’d like a meter fitted.

We’re currently carrying out a 10-year meter upgrade programme across our supply area, replacing all meters in preparation for smart meter technology.

While we can’t guarantee the meter installed at your property will be smart straight away, we’ll keep you updated throughout the process and let you know when your meter is connected to our smart meter technology.
