Preston Hall work completed before Christmas

22nd December 2025

Work has now been completed in time for Christmas on South East Water’s project to install new pipes at Preston Hall, Aylesford.

The drinking water supplier has invested more than £180,000 to install 255 metres of new water mains along Admiral Moore Drive and Preston Hall to support the network as the community grows in the Royal British Legion Village and surrounding areas.

Work started on Monday, 29 September and the site has now been cleared, with all roads re-opened in time for Christmas.

South East Water Project Manager, Jeremy Dufour, said: “This was an important project for us to improve our network as the community grows in the area.

“We needed to reinforce our network to maintain supplies now and in the future, and by carrying out this work, we have also increased resilience in the event of any bursts or leakage.

“As with any work, there was some disruption with road closures and diversion routes in place, and we would like to thank our customers for their patience and understanding while we carried out this vital project.”
