We are carrying out ground surveys around the town to help establish where the company can install approximately 1.4 kilometres of pipe in the summer.

The new pipe is needed to continue to maintain water pressure to the area and the work involves digging small holes to help determine the condition of the ground.

We are working in Glebelands Road, Warren House Road, Keephatch Road and Wiltshire Road for approximately 10 weeks.

A mixture of priority boards and temporary traffic lights will be used for the majority of the scheme.

When work reaches Wiltshire Road, on 1 March, a lane closure will be required to protect motorists and pedestrians from the working area for approximately four days.

We're very sorry for any disruption this vital project may cause and regular updates on the work will be posted below.

From tomorrow (1 March), Wiltshire Road will be closed for approximately four days. The closure will be in place close to Wiltshire Road's junction with Rectory Road and we're very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. A clearly-signed diversion route will be displayed and access to homes and businesses will be maintained at all times.
