We’ve replaced around 630 metres of aging, burst-prone water main in Laundry Lane and Vines Cross Road, Horam.
By replacing these with a new section of pipework, your water supply will be more reliable, and we can reduce the amount of water lost to leaks and bursts.

Project completed
We’ve now completed this project and will be leaving the site this week. Thank you to the community for your patience while we improved the water supply network in the area.

Project update
We’ve now laid all new main for this project and all customer supplies have been transferred to the new pipeline.
We are aiming to have the road returned to its original state and reopened by the end of this week, and we’ll be completely leaving the area by the end of the month.
We’d like to thank the community for their patience while we carried out this project.

Project update
We have six customer supply pipes to transfer to the new main, and around 20 metres of new pipeline to install across the bridge.
We have applied for an extension to our highways permit until the end of next week and are aiming to have completed all work by then. We are sorry for the delay to this project.

We’ve now laid a total 522 metres to date, and have completed all required connections to the existing network. We’re starting to connect customers’ supply pipes to the new main.

We’ve excavated and laid a further 70 metres using the traditional open cut trench method and have started connecting customer supply pipes to the new main.

We’ve now laid the first 410 metres to date, with 320 metres now tested and chlorinated. This week, we’ll be laying the next 200 metres using the traditional open cut trench method.
