While most businesses close down for Christmas and the staff go home to spend time with their loved ones, our operational departments stay online - ensuring your taps remain flowing.

We know that your water supply is an essential service that is required 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is why we keep working all through the holiday period, not stopping, as the need for water never stops.

Our Duty Controllers keep an eagle-eye view over the network. They respond to alarms that may come in from sites, investigate the cause and take the appropriate action. They also work in conjunction with our dedicated Production staff, such as Site Operators, Electricians and Treatment and Mechanical Operators.

All alarms and actions must be logged and kept up to date. This is very important and requires excellent communication between staff to ensure that the water keeps flowing and that we have the right people on the right job.

While we plan and forecast as much as possible for weather events and burst mains, sometimes things can go wrong.

To prepare for this, we have staff on call across the business to jump into action in an emergency.

From leakage technicians and bottled water deliveries to Customer services and Communications, we'll all be here for you this Christmas.
